Bare naked.
That’s how she’ll remember
herself for the rest of her life – bare naked.
She’s played a dangerous game
and now she’s lost everything and gained nothing but a sheet around her and
regrets.
She tries to cover herself up
and tries to believe that it helps.
She tries to believe that she
can hide it, that it’s just nothing but a very, very bad dream.
She covers herself.
She tries to erase all memory
of her foolishness, of how she got played.
She thinks it works and she
covers herself up even more.
Underneath, she still remains
bare.
