I frown as I
look at the rushing waves feet below from where we stand. “This is your idea of
fun?”
You shrug. “You
only live once, remember?”
“Well, after
this, I’ll probably be dead.” I smile wryly. “Smart.”
“Oh, come on,
Tiff. Where’s your sense of adventure?” You wriggle your eyebrows. “It’ll be
fun. Promise.”
“What if I
drown?”
“I won’t let
you.”
At the count of
three, the ground beneath us disappears. I gasp as I hit the water sharply and
my body runs cold.
In the midst of
it all, your hand finds mine.
I am safe.
