He could feel it. The anger. It boiled silently through his veins, searing his entire being.

But he still couldn’t bring himself to hate her.

She thought he was stupid and ignorant. He probably was stupid for not hating her like he should.

Anger wanted him to lash out when she looked away, when her attention was on anything else but him – when her eyes wandered away from him and towards her latest flavor of the month. He wanted to hurt her like she was hurting it. Painfully. Slowly.

And then she’d look back at him. He smiled every time.

The Black Cat

on Wednesday, June 26, 2013

Its eyes were yellow, as round as the moon they were gazing at.

The sky was pitch black. The wind was cold. There was nothing but the sound of silence. Yet, the gentle, luminescent light of the moon cut through the eeriness, casting a soft glow on the ground.

The cat, as dark as the pitch black sky, sat on a branch of a dying tree, gazing at the moon. It didn’t move. It didn’t make a sound. It just watched.

When the clouds came and blocked the moon, the cat jumped.

The cat vanished from sight.

A human appeared.
